We are a group of open-minded couples (and women who are either straight or bisexual) that are interested in getting to know each other for social and possibly sexual encounters. This group is for real swingers interested in meeting real people for lifestyle fun and swapping. No solo men will be allowed to join unless they are sponsored by a real couple and/or single lady in the lifestyle. This will be a moderated website and no spamming or flaming will be tolerated. Over the past few months we have been contacted by many of you asking what the status is with the Tampa Bay Lifestylers group. As some of you know, we have had several setbacks in the past 6 months:

First, I was laid off from my job last fall and have yet to be able to find any work in my field. Not to mention, my wife Angela, has been out of work for almost 2 years now. With both of us barely getting by on unemployment, we are very much in danger of losing our home to foreclosure.

Second, we lost over 2200 email addresses after the first of this year, because our Yahoo e-mail account and TBL yahoo group were both shut down by Yahoo because they claimed we allegedly "violated thier TOS" which is thier Terms Of Service.

Third, due to the economy, we have been having a difficult time getting venues to host our parties at as well as having any homes to have any house parties in. Coupled with the fact that we don't have the income to put forth the monies needed to put on these parties, pay for prizes, set ups, food, etc.

And finally, the biggest and most traumatic thing has happened to our family in February: my mom passed away after a long battle with C.O.P.D. (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) caused by decades of smoking cigarettes. I had been trying to spend as much time with her as possible during the past 6 months while being unemployed. This has been most devestating to me and having to cope with her loss has been very difficult and left me with very little interest in planning parties, let alone doing anything in the lifestyle. We are now in the process of having to care for her estate as well. We want to also send out a big "Thank You" to those of you that came to her funeral or sent cards, flowers, and warm wishes and have been keeping in contact with us and checking on us to see how we're holding up. Your kind words of inspiration and thoughtfulness have been greatly appreciated at this sorrowful time.

With all of this bad stuff we're dealing with, Angela and I feel that we need to get our professional and personal lives back on track before we can get our "TBL life" going again. Putting on these events and promoting them is very time consuming and draining at times. It's a labor of love for us, but right now we just don't have the energy or the income to do it at this time.

As you all know: family comes first. So that being said, we don't know when the next TBL event will be or where it will be held at. No, we're not giving up on the lifestyle. We're just trying to live. We don't know if the next event will be next month, 6 months from now or until some time next year. But we can assure you that TBL will be back, and we promise you the website will get relaunched as well - and better than ever I might add.

For some stupid reason, the "brain trusts" at YAHELL took it upon themselves to delete not only our yahoo email account, but our TampaBayLifestylers yahoo group as well. We weren't given any warning whatsoever. After hours of trying to contact them, we were reponded to with a generic form letter message that our "Yahoo! Pulse account was disabled pursuant to the Yahoo! Terms of Service (TOS)." Whatever the hell that's supposed to mean! We are still in the process of trying to get them to re-enable our account there or at least give us an adequate response. Researching this issue, we have found that it's very rare and highly unlikely that the bullies at yahell will re-establish our account there. Because of this, we are not going to hold our breath and have decided to forge ahead with our plan to update this site so that it's once again 100% fully functional (with some new bells and whistles too!)

For those of you that have joined the yahoo group, please contact us at the email address listed on this page with your first names, so that we can create a new contact list. We had over 2200 contacts and they are all gone now because of yahell. In the meantime, click on the Facebook and/or Twitter links above to follow us on those social networks.

It's only a matter of time before Yahell and it's antequated technologies are gone for good. They haven't been relevent in years anyway.
